Partnership with MUSIKA and Konkola Copper Mines

Bringing new life back to the Copperbelt

Phyla Earth Zambia has partnered with MUSIKA and Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) to pioneer the use of elite Pongamia pinnata to revegetate KCM’s Nchanga mine copper tailings dump facilities in Chingola, Zambia. This project will not only help improve the quality of life for people living near the mine, but it will also create long-term sustainable jobs for a post-mining community.  The rehabilitated site will produce bioenergy, bio-pesticides and bio-pharmaceuticals with encouraging prospects for commercial opportunity.
