Phyla at COP28 Business & Philanthropy Forum

Phyla cofounders Rabih El Fadel and Harry Vernon joined the COP28 UAE Business & Philanthropy Climate Forum which convened 500 global leaders across business, philanthropy and government to share insights and innovations to advance net zero solutions and agree upon actions business leaders can take to achieve nature-positive outcomes.

Distinguished speakers included: John F Kerry, Bill Gates, Borge Brende (World Economic Forum), H.R.H Princess Lamia Bint Majed Al Saud, President Santiago Pena (Paraguay), Al Gore, amongst many other leaders discussing novels ideas and undertakings.

Charlie Nunn, Group CEO of Lloyd’s Banking Group and Grant Reid, Chair of the Sustainable Markets Initiative Agribusiness Taskforce discussed working towards new blended finance structures to help drive 40% of the global agricultural market to be regenerative by 2030. It was noted that there are only five harvests until then so we must act fast to ensure food and water security, a goal Phyla is deeply committed to accomplishing.
